This is some pretty good news for N95 users- until now, I thought we were all going to be waiting for S60 devices with the next feature pack on them- but Salada has found this little bit of news.... I've already sent my email and IMEI number!

Flash Lite 3 Developer Edition

Flash Lite 3 Developer Edition available for download in early November 2007

Note: This interim build of Adobe® Flash® Lite™ 3 Developer Edition has been certified only on the Nokia N95 device.

If you are interested in testing Flash Lite 3 content on your device before the availability of the Developer Edition, you may request an interim Developer Edition by sending an e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it with the subject line "Request for FL3 Developer Edition." You will need to include the IMEI number of your device in the e-mail. The IMEI number can be obtained by entering *#06# on the device.

I've heard nothing yet...

I imagine we won't hear anything until they close the submission process on the 16th. I hope I get my hands on the 8GB N95 by then so I can get the IMEI number to them- that would be pretty kick ass to see the difference on the two devices, HOPEFULLY there will be no difference- but I'm not so sure yet...

As a reminder, the Flash Lite 3 developer edition has only been certified for the Nokia N95. FL3 developer edition is only a standalone player and will allow developers to test and play back SWF files that are published as Flash Lite 3. Note, the Flash Lite 3 developer edition does not support the mobile phone web browser as a plug-in or other content types such as wallpapers and screensavers. It is meant only for developers, not for consumers to download. The first mobile phones that will start shipping with Flash Lite 3 pre-installed will be Nokia devices in Q1 2008.
