I’m a massive fan of Pixelpipe, and its free services, so much so, I even got the T-Shirt (see smug photo below taken by Brett, Pixelpipe CEO at Nokia World earlier this year). Pixelpipe, in case you don’t know, is an image, and status uploading service, and is completely free, and easy to use. The Pixelpipe applications can be downloaded and installed direct to your device from the OVI Store too.

Also, if you use Mozilla Firefox as your Internet browser on your PC/Laptop, then you will be glad to hear, there is a Pixelpipe Media Uploader Firefox Extension too, enabling you to easily, and effortlessly upload photos direct from your PC/Laptop direct to your Pixelpipe account.

So what is special about an image uploader I hear you ask.? Let me explain. When you register your free Pixelpipe account, it will fast become clear, that Pixepipe is so much more than just a single image uploader service, it not only uploads your chosen image, but enables you to also upload the very same image to several other services of yours, from flickr, Ovi Share, Twitter, Mobypicture, Vox, Facebook, and many, many more. These are called your pipes.

The good thing about this on your mobile device, is when you upload an image, even though Pixelpipe will upload it to several of your online services, you will only pay the cost of one single upload. Of course, if connected to WiFi this don’t matter, but look at the costs you are going to save, uploading your photos across all, or those chosen services of yours when connected to a data network.
Pixelpipe Status is another application, which allows you to simply upload/update your status, be it on Twitter, or Blog.

Pixelpipe have also recently released a new application, which is called Pixelpipe for Share Online, and the good thing about this is, Pixelpipe is added to your existing Nokia Share Online Native settings, so no need for a seperate application. Also, the upcoming N900 from Nokia has been given the Pixelpipe treatment, and the Preview N900 Im currently testing has it installed, and its really well integrated within the N900 sharing options, again, no seperate application needed.
