After catching wind of a wooden nokia phone today while playing on the internet I did some research; it turns out it is kind of true. My voyage started at google which took me to Treehugger which took me to Earthfirst and then to Cell Phone Beat and finally to Flickr where I wasn't able to see the exact source of the photos but still they were available online so enjoy this taste of the cell phone industry going green.
Cell Phone Beat stats the phone is made by Nokia's Eco-Team and is made of a sustainable timber. It boasts a 8 megapixel camera, bluetooth, Symbian S60, and a speaker. This Nokia eco-friendly concept flaunts a wooden body made from sustainable timber. The design features an 8-megapixel camera, bluetooth, speaker and a Symbian S60 Operating System. The big deal is this phone contains a very low amount of elements that are toxic to the environment (i.e. metallic bodies, crystals, etc...). I like the design and would be curious of th exact size of this phone. What do you think?
