I broke out the 120 proof Finnish vodka in true celebratory style. It is said the essence of being a Finn is to drink Koskenkorva... it's not exported from the country. They feed the tourists Finlandia, and they drink "Kossu" as they call it. Why has this bottle been removed from the freezer, transferred to a couple of Finnish crystal glasses, and then to my Scotch soaked gullet you ask?
Well.... it's admittedly been a slow week around here- and you have my apologies for that. I've been trying to catch up on some family time, as I've been traveling around a bit lately. I've been whisked away across the country a couple times now since the birth of my daughter not two months ago. That's an activity that I'm apparently not done with this month either, as I just got word yesterday afternoon that I've seemingly won the Golden Ticket and will be touring the Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory of the mobile world. That's right- this time the good people of WOMworld are sending me to my old stomping grounds of Espoo, Finland- to the headquarters of Nokia. This will be in conjunction with a virtual event similar to the one they organized in London back in August of this year for the Go Play event. I'll be meeting back up with Mark from thenokiablog.com who I tore in up with in LA for the Nseries event in the Hollywood Hills- a reunion I'm quite looking forward to. Stefan, formerly of ringnokia.com- my all-time favorite blog ever- now intomobile.com will be there as well and I'm looking forward to meeting him for the first time.
The rumor is that this will be the official announcement event of the N82. Teo at symbian-freak recently got his hands on one - so it's quite possible this will be the topic of discussion out there. If so, I assume I'll be taking part in another Q&A with Nokia executives and team leaders regarding the soon to be released device. If you have any interest in the new handset, this would be a great time to get any questions in you'd like me to take over there for the team. I'd be happy to present any questions you might have about the device, or anything else you'd like to know about regarding any Nokia product or service. I haven't received my itinerary yet- but I believe it will be the 13th and 14th that I'll be in Finland- so there's not a ton of time to get some questions in. Anything you want to know- post a comment here, I'll do my absolute best to get an answer for you.

... I assume that will be the main topic out there, but I cannot confirm it. Is there anything you would like to know about the device- I could ask the project team while I'm out there if it is an N82 announcement. |

... Aww, sad news friend. I have a couple hours layover in Stockholm on Monday. I was thinking I might be able to have a pint with you... Seems a lot of people are visiting Thailand from Sweden and Finland the last few years- very cheap flights I hear...? |
