CeBit 2008 is coming up tomorrow in Hanover, Germany which is where Nokia has decided to release information about two new phone models for European markets. The first which is a flip phone, the 6650 boasts MP3 controls, micro SD slot, HSPDA, 2.2” TFT QVGA screen, and a 2 megapixel camera. Great features but no means a multimeda work horse. It seems stylish with features that make it worth looking at if you’re signing on the bottom line with T-Mobile and would like a decent inexpensive phone, can we say…1 euro with a rate plan according to Nokia. The second phone is for Vodafone, the 6124 classic, another candy bar styled phone which is multimedia driven. This phone features 3G Broadband, 2 megapixel camera, memory expansion slot up to 8gb of memory, 2” display, and an S60 platform. Vondafone feels this phone is a great addition to their company. In Nokia’s press release Jens Schulte-Bockum, Global Director Terminals at Vodafone, states “"We are proud to offer the new Nokia 6124 classic which will allow our customers to access the complete suite of Vodafone communications, browsing, content and Internet services. In addition, the exclusive Nokia 6124 classic offers customers’ further improvement in their experience with many of Vodafone's services already launched with leading Internet partners." Both of these phones have great features that will be adding to the Nokia line; although they are not ground breaking by any means but it is at least meeting a demand for customers who are not willing to pay the extra for the likes of a N-Series. It is always cool to see new phones period, so keep up the good work in Finland. Some more pictures after the jump. Also, check the forum out, member GSi-R posted some great information on the 6124 Classic. Nokia 6124 Classic Press Release ![]() ![]()
