I have been involved in the Beta Testing of this particular version of PC Suite, and can confirm its one of the best versions so far. Thanks to Stefan Constantinescu from Nokia, and Ricky Cadden, The Symbian Guru for the heads up on the news of this Official Release of PC Suite 7.1.
You can find out all the information regarding this version here, including system requirements, which include that you must have at least 300MB of disk space to accomodate this file. There are some new extra features too, so check them out, and enjoy a more multimedia messaging experience with your Nokia device via your PC/Laptop, with the new Nokia Communication Centre limited Support.
Click "Read More" below for an insight of additional plug-in required when installing PC Suite 7.1.
Once you have downloaded Nokia PC Suite 7.1, you do not have to uninstall any previous versions, as this new version will automatically do this work for you, however, a reboot will be needed once installed.
When you come to use PC Suite 7.1 for the first time, you will be prompted in install an additional PC Suite Support Plug-in. This is called "Contacts Group DS Plug-in", see screenshots-Right.
Once this is installed, your ready to take advantage of the new PC Suite 7.1 additional features, as well as all the original features. You will notice a Calendar view is now available
on the main menu screen. Clicking on the Calendar icon takes you to a full screen version, where you can carry out many custom settings.
Remember, you can connect to PC Suite using your Nokia connectivity USB Cable, or if you have Bluetooth on your PC or Laptop, this is an option also, which is a great way to connect for simple tasks, however, if transferring music, and videos to your Nokia device, i suggest you stick to using your USB cable.
