The Way We Live Next - Video Demo of Indoor Positioning.
Trawling around the net, I came across a video from Nokia on Media Resources, and Indoor Positioning. At the time, I did not have the time to view the video due to its format, but now its the weekend, I have downloaded the video, and uploaded it to my Share on Ovi site, so you now can watch the video easily also.
Please be sure, if you have some headphones, that you wear them to watch this demo, as the volume is a little too low.
In the video Jilles Van Gurp from Nokia introduces you to a upcoming application which uses Radio masts, WiFi, and GPS positioning to locate yourself within a building, be it a shopping mall, City Centre, small Town, or an Airport even, using dedicated in-house transmitters, showing you detailed layouts of your immediate surroundings. This is very useful should you be looking for something specific, Coffe shop, certain brand of clothing, or even a friend.
This software even connects to your Facebook, and other Social Media sites, so there are even more possibilities to use this software. Take a look at the video, and see for yourself whats in store, and as mentioned, put your earphones on as the volume is a little low.
