There have been many rumors, and leaks posted across the web regarding the Mini version of the Nokia N97, but up until now, all of these had a big question mark over them. Was this thing for real, is it a prototype, and will it be released? In short, yes, its real, and it will be announced at Nokia World in Stuttgart next month.
This news comes from a reliable source, our good friend Eldar from Mobile-Review.com, who always appears to be the very first to either get his lucky hands on new devices, or at least hears about Nokia, and their devices first also.

The Specifications of the N97 Mini are similar to its bigger brother N97, but instead of a massive 32GB of Mass memory, the Mini comes with 8GB. Still a fair size. Obviously the screen is a little smaller, Eldar says that display specs are very close to the ones we’ve seen on Nokia 5530 XM. That gives us about 2.9” size, 16M colors, 64×360 px resolution and automatic brightness control.
The Keyboard does not have the D-Pad to the left of the QWERTY either, but has arrow keys to the lower right. The N97 Mini should retail around €100 Euro's less that its bigger brother.
I will be there at Nokia World, 2nd, and 3rd of September, representing Nokia Users, and will be reporting live from the event via Twitter, and right here on the Nokiausers.net homepage.

... I'd much prefer it if they got the N97 working properly first, before they release a sister device. *sigh. |

Here we go again.... And just like the N95-8gb was to the N95-1, i suppose we will see a much better build quality and prob even more RAM in the mini. WTF do Nokia think they can do to us and get away with? |
