I have spent the last week or so reading up on this latest firmware and from what I've seen, it's a disaster. I've read about the camera's failing, the phone losing calls, and even the screen going blank and never coming back on. And what assounds me more is that Nokia haven't done anything about this. Thousands of their phones ruined by a bad firmware upgrade and they haven't even said "'we're working on it" I think someone needs to lose their job. - Kevin

Usually it feels good when I get screwed but the way we got screwed by Nokia does not feel good at all. - Maciek

@davidm - It was a bit of sarcasm ;). It just appears Nokia would rather us upgrade our device instead of waiting for new firmware.

@Maciek - I hear ya. North American users typically have to go out of our way to get a decent Nokia in our hands, as we are forced to purchase online without any form of carrier discounts. It feels as though (even though I love my N95) we were possibly a 'test' of some sort. - Brandon

Brandon. I feel your pain. Nokia is really starting to get on my nerves. Here we're spending a shitload of money on the device and Nokia just plain doesn't give a f..k about the "-3" users. I for one will not be spending any more money on a device that most likely will be ditched within six months from the support site. Maybe a class action suit against nokia would kick them on their behind and treat all users within the same device range equally... If they give a one year warranty on a certain device, shouldn't it include regular updates? I'm sure Nokia would come back with something like "firmware is released when an update is required and since N95-3 runs fine we feel there's no need". Well Nokia - F-U to that way of thinking. If you plan on being the major player on the US soil' then be prepared to treat Us like you should. We're not Nokia bastard children. We are a FULL paying clients. I doubt ANY single operator pays Nokia $660 for N95. In my opinion we have the F-KING right to DEMAND - not beg...for the firmware updates that are on par with N95-1, -2, -4.

as an n95-3 user

Why would I buy the n95 8GB NAM when I know Nokia doesn't provide follow up support? Am I supposed to have brand loyalty after being ignored like this?

The n95-3 has a nice camera. That's all I can say about it after a few months of use. I'm tired of the camera stopping working (requiring a device reboot), the phone being slow to operate, the browser quitting on some pages I visit, the GPS app can't handle accented characters, and numerous other bugs that could easily be fixed, as well as other improvements we should receive as they are rolled out for the product line. I can tell you Nokia has not gained my loyalty here.
