    what does accelerometer values represent

    hi can anybody tell me what does the values means and how are the calculated ?
    like for example : x : 0.333
    y : -0.40
    z : 0.523

    The values are representative of the position of the phone. When the phone is in a certain position all values will be 0.000, when the phone is adjusted upon one of three axis then these values change, allowing software to determine the oritentation of the device. X and Y axis are as you learn at school and Z is a depth axis.
