Has Anyone NOT Got The 16GB Working On Their N95-1??

It seems I might be the only one that is not getting any luck with this 16GB card! Phone sees card correctly that it is a 16GB but on transfering videos from my 8GB via SanDisk USB reader the phone finds nothing on the card? Am using V21.0.016 firmware which is current with o2.

Just wondering if anyone is experiencing similar issues???

I got the card from Moby memory!

I have three times formatted the card using the phone and transfered my videos & then all my music as mentioned? on double checking with the reader everything is on the 16GB. When I then let the phone do its search in its own time it just finds 145 songs out of what should be 860 & NO videos or photo's??

There can only be two conclusions:
1) N95-1 cannot support this card?
2) Faulty SanDisk 16GB card?

Nokia technical support just said the N95 wont support this card........so NO SURPRISES FROM THEM!!!!

My card was from Mobymemory & it works fine. Try connecting your phone in data transfer mode, & copy your vids etc., that way. I know it's slower than using a card reader but worth a try. If that doesn't work then could be a faulty card.

Would be worth finding out if anyone else has it working on the same firmware, O2's V21.0.016

Or rather, the same music/video/pictures issue.

I'd recommend debranding then updating, I think they may have increased the memory limit in a later firmware

Thanks for all the ideas everyone! I will try the data transfer mode to see if this works!?

Also I am only one month away from my end of contract so I may debrand the phone but I will have to read up this as I have never done this before.

Will post back, thanks for the info.

I have tried the data transfer mode & I think I have found out that it's my heap of junk phone that can't read the card!

When I connect the phone in PC suite & open file manager then the Memory card Ive noticed that when you point the mouse arrow over any folder it will say 'Size larger than 605Mb' & will not then give you a total file size!? This would explain why it can only find 145 Music tracks cause thats roughly the 605Mb it can find!

Whether debranding & trying V30 firmware will solve it I don't know? I have never done this before & what high risk does it carry? I am only one month away from end of contract so may see out time & look at N96!
