Protective Crystal Case

YESS!!! Finally managed to find a crystal case made specifically for the N82 today, hehe. It completely covers the phone except for the keypad, and side buttons plus all the other various ports ( it even has an opening where you attach lanyards/keychains, etc ), and the camera.

I was really surprised at how easy it was to remove/install this crystal case compared to others i've used for my previous phones ( takes about 10 seconds to remove, and isn't fiddly ). Also, it fits absolutely snugly, and doesn't add to the bulk of my phone as the protective layer is only about 1 - 2 mm thick ( as you can see from the pictures, my N82 looks naked. ). I'm well chuffed cos now i can be confident that my baby will remain scratchless ( Warning!! does not protect your phone from falling from 2 stories or bEing run over by a car) , plus the case only cost me 30 Baht whicH converts to 1 USD, so i bought a couple as spares for when this case gets scratched , :p

don't know if its available in the US, but users in Asia/Uk should be seeing it in your local accessory shops soon.

bought it locally mate, but i'm looking around to see if there's an online option. I'll update you if i find one.

Update : Just google 'crystal case n82' and a whole bunch of sites pop up.

Does the casing pop off if you drop it though,say onto a carpeted floor?

That happened with these cases and the N95,waste of money imho.

tried that G, and it didn't pop off ( of course i didn't slam it with all my strength :p ) in fact have already accidentally dropped it on a tiled floor and the bugger remained secure. The case seems very secure as its not the clip on/pop on type of system used for the n95 due to the slider. Both pieces of the case are locked to each other by 4 'clips' ( grooves??), so to make them seperate, you actually have to release them one by one, if not, the only way i can see it coming of, is if the case actually broke.

Hey guys I have been following this thread this is what I did for my black N 82

Well it looks good and compliments my phone :cool:
Fits on the phone tightly like a skin without making it bulky ( hardly makes a diff)
protects it completly except the key pad

Guess how much it cost?? Rs 30 that is exacly 70 cents

It might not be as good (or as thin / invisible) as the skin but for the cost its pretty **** good. Just a suggestion in case you dont want to spend so much!!

I have been looking for a crystal case for my Black n82 and came across this thread.
The places that i have seen sell it alot of people say that it isnt very good and there is no hole for the mic meaning you saound muffled.
Can you confirm if this is true or not.
Im not sure if the ones on EBay/mobilefun/expansys are the same as they are at least £5 difference in price
