I think im gonna try my hand at taping half a set of binoculars over the lens to achieve the same effect.

Come on. Sheesh. It's not like you have to bolt it on for the rest of your life. Holy hell...

I think it would come in handy at times. Not something I'm going to carry around all day everyday, but if I'm on a trip somewhere? It might make it into my bag of tricks. The N95 is my only digital camera, so yeah- the idea of this is almost worth it. Remember- I said kinda tempting. Sure- I'd like to see a better solution, maybe something that just clamps on and has a better quality scope (this thing does look pretty cheap), but I'm still interested in the results. You can't honestly think that the digital zoom and this would have similar results... I've never used digital zoom once, and never will! I'll crop instead... but I can think that this might come in handy at times. It would beat holding a pair of binoculars to the N95 and attempting to hold the whole thing together and steady. It will work, sure- but something that holds the telescope to the body of the N95 for me in a decent package would be fantastic.

Digital zooms are a joke.

But I'm going to wait until a reputable optical maker comes out with something just a wee bit better... doesnt have to be zeiss, but maybe Tamron or Vivitar might whip something up???

Worse yet, digital zooms are an insult to the world.

At any rate, I would love to see a serious unit like this. James Burland had held up a nice quality wide angle lens to his N95- results seems pretty good.

THAT SUCKER IS HUGE!!! LOL I think a bit extreme. Can't imagine that being used on a regular baisis or for serious photography. Now if they can get a case that has bright Xenon LED's for night time photography and video's that might be worth looking into!

I have tried this as my pic shows it reduced the picture quality by about 30% it is only a cheap and nasty lens, I am looking for a real one, or maybe one that can be adapted.

Maybe even an SLR Lens if i can find one to suit.
