Mine is i.tech Blueband R, which provides smooth transmission and rich audio quality.

It has noise suppression techologies to stamp out the umbient noise ensuring more engaging conversation.

Any experience with the Nokia BH-500? I like the idea of having my own headphones to a small BT box.
Any drawbacks? Or maybe similar devices from other vendors which are known to work with N95-1/2?

Thanks!

I got to try out the new Nokia BH 604's at Nokiaworld.

In most respects I think they're superior to the Motorola's S805's, but with one very significant drawback.

Sound quality wise its a near run thing, but I think the Nokia's output a slightly better sound (expected, the S805's are a few years old now). In terms of comfort I think the Nokia's win hands down - the ear pieces are more comfortable and the the headset is much lighter. The downside there is that I don't know how durable they are over time in comparison, but I suspect the S805's will hold up better. In terms of AVCRM implementation both work fine, I think I like the Motorola's controls better, but that might just be a familiarity thing. I didn't take a call on the Nokia's so I can't comment on how they compare in the area of call clarity.

Now for the major drawback: no wired option with this headset. For me this is huge, and effectively rules out the 604's for me. I spoke with some of the project managers in the gear department there about this - they seemed pretty mystified as to why someone would want this in an A2DP headset but I'm hoping they got it in the end. Won't make a difference for the 604's, but might make a difference in the next iteration of that headset style.

So if you're weighing up the relative merits of each headset I would say:

1. If cost is crucial the S805's are clearly superior.
2. If a wired option is crucial the S805's are clearly superior.
3. If neither of the above are crucial then the 604's are superior.

Those are the ones that have wires on them eh? Personally I'd hate having A2DP headsets with wires, feels somewhat redundant when you're getting a wireless solution in the first place.

I think many of the other headsets being discussed here would fall within that price range (got my S805's for around 40 pounds). I think the topic starter was more interested in the DJ-Style cans type anyway?

Another vote for the S9's here.

Fantastic sound, lightweight, good noise cancellation, good battery, discreet and funky looking.

It's Broke?

Did you know that your Nokia comes with a 2 year warranty? Did you know that Carphone Warehouse are Nokia Repair Centres?
Damage from normal use: wobbly slider, broken keys, quiet earpiece etc... will be repaired for free, and usually the same day if you take it to a big store!

Plantronics Voyager 855

I recently got the Plantronics Voyager 855 and I think they are great for the price ($70 - Amazon.com). Being one of the only headsets that can switch between mono and stereo, it surpassed my expectations. I don't seem to have the volume problem that some people have had with this product. There is a little "fuzzy" static noise in the background, but I think its just an overall bluetooth problem. I am a bit of an audiophile and have noticed these can still not beat my bass headphones, but they are great for being a wireless solution that allows me to take calls and listen to my music.

Here's a link to the official site:
