Hey there.

I've had a Scosche bluelife kit for a few months and have been using it with My K800i. The K800i didn't support it natively, so I've been using the transmitter that came with it. Until today. Now I have an N95 :)

Well, not exactly. It more like :(.

I was wondering if anyone could explain to me how/if they managed to get the N95 paired and working with the Scosche? I can get it connected, but no sound comes from the Scoshce into my stereo. If I plug in the transmitter, it works, but not by itsef, as I believed it should.

Furthermore, If I pair the phone first, the Media player gets stuck on "opening" media. If I start the music first, then connect to Scosche, it carries on playing on screen, but still no sound.

I know the schsche works, and the phone is brand new and works with my in car bluwetooth, so I know bluetooth is working. So the only option left is configuration or compatability, and I'm lead to believe that it is compatible...

Any help, greatly appreciated.

The N95 is paired and connects fine for me... so you should be able to rule out compatibility.

If I turn my car on, it automatically connects. If I'm playing music or not- it works fine. When I turn the car off, the music starts playing from the internal speakers within about five or ten seconds. Not sure what your troubles are. Have you contacted Scoshe?

After I posted, I did get it connected. But it's very intermittent and often wont connect. Lot's of re-boots and crashes last night!

As for automatic connection, it doesn't. I know what you mean though, My K800i used to automatically connect to any paried devide when in range. But the N95 doesn't. It also seems to crash very often, generally.

I'm wondering if it's faulty as I can't believe it would have been released this "buggy".

I think I'm going to contact Nokia for help as I know the Scosche is working fine with other devices.

Thanks for the reply.

Spoke to Nokia, they said that because the Scosche is not produced by Nokia, they cannot support it. So if it doesn't work, hard luck.

I told them that there's posts online to suggest that it is supported. Her response was that my phone must be broken and that I should take it to my nearest Nokia shop (?) and get it replaces or fixed!

While I am getting a few crashes, it's only when i'm mid-pair with the scosche, everything else if fine. The N95 pairs in seconds with my car kit as soon as I turn the ignition, so I think bluetooth is ok.

Strange. Have you contacted Scosche yet? Very nice people. I sent them an email a bit ago wondering if I can buy a home power power adapter, as I just got the car package. I didn't even know there was a home unit until I saw it on their homepage. So I fired off an email to them, a vice president sent me back an email, and told me that if I paid for freight, they would send me one out no charge. How cool is that? So I responded with my address and asked how I could get the money to them, paypal... etc. I just got a call about five minutes ago from another guy, he told me they just sent one out to me. He said the shipping was only like five bucks, and not to worry about it. He asked me to give him a call when I get it to make sure all is well.

Another gold star for the wonderful people at Scosche in my book!

Very nice people, very willing to make customers happy. I'd give them a call or send them an email. I'm sure they're more than willing to help out

Will do. But just to be clear. Are you saying that your N95 does work with your Scosche? If this is the case, I would be inclined to think my N95 is faulty...

Quite right about Scosche, very nice people. I just thought, as the scosche worked previously and still does with other devices, that the issue maybe phone config related. But I'll give them a try, and thanks for all your replies. :)

No problem. :)

Yes, the Scosche bluelife is working great with my N95. Pairing worked fine, as does autoconnect. I turn on the car, and in less than five seconds, the audio is playing through the stereo brilliantly.

Hope you get things sorted out, let us know!

I've emailed Scosche with the details. Just waiting to hear back.

Also. One of my mates is getting the N95 in the next week or two, so I can use that to test and rule out the phone/scosche.

Hope I get it working. The N95 is starting to impress me now. I cannot believe the quality of the video, even played through the telly!

Battery life sucks though!

Hey, thanks for all the replies too - "a problem shared", and all that...
