Unhappy N95 8GB EXTREME overexposure on day pics- HELP!!!

Hey am I glad I found you guys... I almost ran out of hope for my N95.
I had a regular N95 for a while, and it was great, wonderful pics and all... then i switched to a new N95 8GB last week. I made a pic on the auto setting (as i usually do) and the pics come out HORRIBLE!!! so overexposed, you can't see anything but light everywhere. That wasn't like that on my old N95 (no gigs). What's going on? I always use it in auto setting. Did i get a defective phone? I don't want to have to manually change exposure and iso settings every time i m trying to make a picture. Never needed to utill i got the newN958gb. Does this sound familiar to anyone, any suggestions? I don't know if this is normal or not.

If its just daylight in the room (no direct sun or anything) the pics are almost shiny white and you can't see anything else besides LIGHT.... i never had that with the regular N95 and I used that one daily in all conditions with ease... So IS MY PHONE DEFECTIVE? PLEASE HELP, i dont know what to do...........

Do you have the latest v20 firmware? If not, I'd suggest updating.
Just might solve your problem.

When did you purchase the phone?
Could it maybe use a firmware update?
What comes up when you punch in *#0000#

Unhappy Still nothing! Overexposure!

So I upgraded the firmware to v2, but the problem persists. This camera is too sensitive. I can't make one picture indoors, when the windows aren't covered. I get a bright mess and that's it. Now what?
