tiny speck of dirt... inside.

Anyway to crack this open to get inside the guts of it.... I look inside my lense and there is a tiny speck of white dust right on the iris.. like three levels down in that squareish area.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. First see if it is affecting your photographs at all. Here's how to do this.

Take several pictures of a clear blue sky, directly above if possible and avoiding the sun. It will obviously be a bright day and the Aperture will thereby set to a small size (when this is the case, the depth of focus will be at it's maximum so any dirt on the lens/CCD will be at their most visible).

Load the pictures onto your pc and view them full size. Any dirt , dust will be visible on the image as out of focus blobs of grey and visible in the same place on each image.

you can ignore it if it doesn't affect your pictures but if you're like me you can replace the lens cover cheap if you can't take that dirt out. :)

have you tried just hitting it with some keyboard cleaner? i.e. air in a can. The dirt got in there and that means it's gotta have a way to get back out.

Or if you don't have an air can to hand, try using a straw and good old fashioned mouth blowing, avoid spitting though, moisture isn't great :)

i have the same issue and it does effect my images and video. you can see it as a dark spot in upper right.

i have tried to blow it out with a can of duster to no avail. when looking through the lens of the camera i cannot see the obstruction. it only shows up when the camera is on and the photo is taken.

do i have any options other than returning the phone for a replacement?
