Replacing silver lens shutter??

I would like to know how to replace the silver lens shutter. I can take the back cover off, but is it a matter of lifting the lens cover off with a tool? Or is there something else I need to remove first.

Best wait for someone who knows for sure, however, try looking around for parts photos, they may give you an idea of fitment for now.

Only found a photo of the front part. Trying to find a photo of the rear of it for you..

It looks like it is just bonded, bt it doesnt appear easy to remove thats why I thought there maybe clips or other parts I need to remove first?

yes the camera shutter is simply held on with a sticky pad and a couple small clips. I took mine off using the facia removal tool and gently lifted it up away

Hi Guys,

I'm about to do exactly the same. I'm changing the full housing, inc the lens cover, when Royal Mail decide to deliver. I have opened up the phone to see whats involved and found that the back of the lens cover has 3 tiny legs (clips) and adhesive. I did manage to lift the lens very gently and it did come out quite easily.
Make sure that when you fit the new one you allign it up perfectly because as you open the cover to take a pic the l.e.d.s on the keyboard light up. If its not done correctly you may not get it working correctly.

Good luck and as usual, take great care when you have your head under the bonnet. :) :)

DocBob.
