Is it true unlocked phones ( being international phones ) internet wont work
Is it true that cell phones which are marked as unlocked ( being international phones ) are not capable of working on the internet over here in USA/Canada. They are not enabled to browse the internet and will not be able to access it.
let me know
As I looking to buy and international unlocked n95

The N95-1 issued in Europe and Asia were based on a 2100MHz 3G band, where as America accomodates a 1900MHz/850MHz band
The newer N95-3 features American 3G support (Uses the 1900MHz/850MHz band) and is the only version that will allow 3G services to be used there

Assuming that Canada uses the same 3G band as the States... Yes, you'll be able to surf the 'Net on any N95... BUT... Not at 3G speeds unless you have the N95-3 (US version)... as Gizmo has said, this is the only version that will receive the US UMTS (3G) High-Speed Data band.
Over the air data reception, without using 3G, is very slow by comparison...

A phone being unlock or locked has nothing to due with its internet capabilities. Its just that typically, "unlocked" phones (from a norh american perspective) are imported phones which were designed to work elsewhere in the world. Just make sure that your phone is a quadband gsm phone (which every N95 is) and everything will be fine. BTW, where do you live in Canada, if you live in a 3G area its worth getting the N95-3 for faster data transmission.
