Am I screwed?

So I posted her a while ago regarding the connectivity (or lack thereof) of my N95 8gb and how it would give me every problem in the book (no gateway reply, connectivity error, system error, check your connections, etc, etc, etc). I took the phone to Nokia's flagship store in manhattan and after sending it for repairs two times, i still have the same problems. The poeple at Nokia are being real douchebags (pardon my french) and just refuse to replace my phone just because I didn't buy it at their store (I bought it legit, btw). I dunno is my phone just faulty? Can this be fixed? You guys have my full attention.

How long have you had the phone? I would try contacting the person(s), or company you purchased it from and see what they could do about it. What they'll do or not do about it is up to them, but at least it's worth a try. Also did you try a hard reset? that some times helps.

I'm pretty sure I tried the hard reset and if not Nokia probably has, but I'm not too sure if you would be so kind as to tell me how to to the hard reset I'll do it (possibly again). As for the place I bought it from, I'm going to them, the next business day, but I'm pretty sure if Nokia couldn't fix it, they won't either. Worth a shot, though, thank you.

Hard-reset... enter *#7370# Default code is 12345

EDIT: You might want to consider re-flashing the firmware?

Also take a look at this thread, it might help you battle Nokia if things get really desperate!

When I enter in "#7370# it informs me that the request was not completed.

That other thread was extremely interesting though, at least I know I can battle them now if worst comes to worst. I really am just looking for my N95 to work I love(d) it so much. Also, I only had it for about 2-3 weeks before it started getting wacky on me. Then it was about two months for repairs, which I guess is pretty fast. I just got it back in my hands today and lo and behold, nothings changed.

The code is: *#7370# (note the '*' in there!)

If it still doesn't work, try this, taken from the 'Tips' section on here...

"Power off phone. Press and hold Green, * and 3 and keep them held whilst powering on and for a few seconds after, if kept pressed this formats without asking for Security Code confirmation."

Oh that reset, yeah, I've actually done that reset as well, but to no avail. Sorry I didn't see the * before, I'm not very savvy with this heh

Yes, I do. I don't understand it either.

One of the main reasons I posted here was to see if there was anything I could do to the phone, because I think all Nokia repairs actually does is just reset the phone and upgrade the software. I doubt they even bothered to look into the phone itself. But I dunno, I appreciate the posts though, thanks to all.
