Connecting to Hidden wireless
Hello, I recently purchased a n95 8GB, and have a question regarding conecting to a wireless network.
In my workplace there is a wireless network availible, however it is set up so that only computers can connect to it. If I scan for wireless networks with phone it dosen't pick it up. In order for PC/laptop to connect to network it has to be configured manually within windows. Wondering does anyone know of any way in which it might be possible to connect to this network. Ask way if more info is required. Thanks |

You won't be able to run any kind of program on your N95 if you workplace has a hidden Wifi signal, does you WLan not pick up anything at all, sometimes mine can find a "Hidden" Wifi.

if your work computer is hooked to it you should be able to get to the name of the WiFi which you can use to manually set up an access point by typing in the SSiD instead of searching for it. This won't help you though if you don't know the key for the security that's probably enabled on the router.

Tools>Settings>Connection>Access points
then Options>New Access point Change data bearer to Wireless Lan, enter the SSID, set the security as appropriate. |
