guys can i just ask if youre on pay and go do you have a 3g sim card from your network operators?? its just it could be youre using a 2g or 2.5g sim card and theres no way bbc player will stream at all through anything but 3.5g if that will even be fast enough i dont know

but then again maybe 3.5g isnt even fast enough to stream it , thats why it might work on wifi and not on the data/operator connection ???

just a thought

I've read a few things around the internet that says that BBC are working on an N95 version of the IPlayer but the beta that was accessable when i first started this thread worked perfectly. They had reduced the resolution so that the programs played flawlessly.

I think the beta was designed for the IPhone but worked on the N95 when the new V21 firmware was released. It's almost as if the BBC got wind of it and somehow pulled the plug on us. I'd be interested in knowing whether this Beta still exists when accessing the page from an IPhone or whether the whole Beta site is gone altogether.

If anyone out there has an IPhone or can borrow one try bbc.co.uk/iplayer/mobile/index.html

Remember, the BBC has blocked people outside of the UK and people not using WIFI. If the page is simplified compared to the IPlayer home page and programs play smoothly then the beta is still there and thus N95 has been locked out. If the page looks identical to the IPlayer home page then you have been redirected and the beta no longer exists at this url.
