N95 compatible handsfree available NOW
Hey there, not sure if this will help everyone but i'm sure it will help some people.
As most of you will probably be aware in car handsfree kits don't connect fantastically well to the N95. Tomorrow i am due to receive my demo alpine kce-350bt which i have already spoken to alpine about as being n95 friendly, all that is required is to set the phone to sync with the kit and things should run like clockwork. For those who are not aware, alot of handsfree kits have problems with a phonebook sync with the n95, im not sure why but there are very few on the market that can. I'll be giving a full report on the ins and out as soon as its fitted (about 24 hours from now) The only down side to the kit is that you need to be using an Alpine 07/08 model that is prepped for phone use. Just installed the unit now, phone pairs in very happily and keeps connection with no worries at all.
Phonebook transfer is done quickly (10 secs) through highlighting all contacts and sending as business card to the 350bt and then they are sorted alphabetically through last name. Scrolling through is very quick as the contacts are stored on the units on board memory. Music streaming is also good quality with no lag/buffer problems which is always nice. In call clarity is very clear and precise with no problems at all. In short alpine have managed to sort out the problems with the old 300bt and refine it into something far more useable. Steve |

Compatible Car Hands Free Parrot CK3100
Hi all, just a quick note re- connectivity, I have the N95 mark 1 I also have the Parrot CK3100 and have no problems at all, I get in my car and when I switch the engine on it immediately connects to Parrot and changes to silent profile to silent the phone ring (Parrot rings) It also downloads contacts. The only proviso is that bluetooth must be switched on and remote sim on for all this to work without haing to touch anything in-car.

Steveocee,
Thanks for letting us know how to manually download the phonebook. In my case, for my new Ford Fusion with Microsoft Sync. The part about selecting all contacts and transferring via bluetooth to the head unit did the trick! I am now going back to play and see if it works! |

Quote:
trust me, i have spent countless hours with techs overseas and the rest i am looking at getting the N95 cause someone "thought" this was the phone that will work with the parrot. i am using my microsoft outlook to sync to the N95 and then i assume it will transfer to the parrot. (about 900 contacts or known as address book) a comment you made of which i have no seen on the parrot unit is (remote sim on) can u explain and comfort my fears of sync from outlook XP and to parrot 3200 |
