UPnP: Only seeing first 15 items when browsing UPnP devices

Hi all !

I have a lot of experience with the Philips Streamium products (WACS7500, WACS7000, WACS700, WAS6050, NP1100, NP2x00 etc, etc, including several different third-party UPnP servers and renderers/controlpoints) which are a set of UPnP certified Audio Streaming devices.
They can act as a UPnP Server and UPnP Media Renderer.

My problem is that when I use my Nokia N95 to browse the content of one of these UPnP servers, the N95 only lists the first 15 items (i.e. song tracks) and then it refuses to send a new request to the UPnP server for the next 15 items and so on.
The UPnP spec allows a UPnP server to return any subset of it contents, letting the receiving UPnP Renderer (or controlpoint) to ask for more content info if needed.
This is clearly described in the UPnP specification and since it is extremely annoying to not be able to use my N95 as a true remote control for all my Philips Streamium devices, I'd would like to know if this will be fixed in a future Firmware release of the N95 ?

Cheers !
/Mathias

Hi !

That's how it is supposed to work, but it just doesn't request the next set of items form the UPnP server. I double-check by sniffing the packets being transmitted between the N95 and my UPnP server and it (the N95) just re-requests the same first 15 items again, and again...

Cheers !

Well, they are fully certified UPnP media servers and renderers and work perfectly well with all other UPnP certified renderers/servers/controlpoints out there, including most (but definitely not all uncertified (like the N95) UPnP devices out there as well;)

Cheers !
