Helpful answeres to Newbie?

Thank you. I realized today that I should be sending messages on the site in general so others can see if they have the same ? or not. Thanks for your help. The reason why I bought the 2gb card is b/c I was under the impression that a sm card would not be provided and that the max that the N95 could take would be 2gb but I see that you have an 8gb. So I thought that if I want to transfer phone #'s I would need a new Sim. I am right now changing all my phone numbers that are logged on the phone to the sim. Thank you for the suggestion. In reference to Blue tooth, yes, i want to sirf the net using my home computer network and that is why I bought the Blue tooth adapter, to allow my computer to WIFI I guess. What is "tethering" b/c I have never heard that? Also what are "threads"? I assume that means subject. Well thank you and I am going to copy and post this response on N95users site.

Your welcome and you can feel free to reply on the forum so that way the answers are viewable to everyone.(that and I don't check my email that much). As far as AT&T goes all I did was buy the phone, take the SIM card out of the phone I had and put it in the N95. That's the glory of having a SIM card it will work in any phone any time. I never told them anything especially since it's a phone they don't even offer. The phone number is attached to your SIM and not the phone where as there might be some confusion because with Verizon you have to bring the new phone in to get activated and AT&T you don't need to.

I'm not sure what you mean by this but what you will need to do is make sure you copy all your contacts on the Razor to the SIM card, there should be an option for SIM card or phone memory. So when you put the SIM card in the N95 all your contacts will be there.
You say you ordered a 2Gb SM, I believe you mean a 2Gb Memory Card, different than a SIM car. That was a perfectly fine idea and the phone supports bigger if you need, I have an 8 gig card in mine and they're working on a 12 gig card.

As far as the BlueTooth adapter goes that's a fine idea as well but I'm not sure what you mean by still surf the Net. Do you want to surf the Net on your phone using your home WiFi or do you want to use the phone to get your laptop on the Net? If you want to get the laptop on the Net via your phone you need to sign up for a "tethering" package as this is not covered by an unlimited data plan. Call AT&T for info on that. If you want to surf the web on your phone using your home network then WiFi (built into the phone) is the way to do that.
