Wifi Help

Hey guys,

I need some wifi help. i have got connected to the wireless network and can browse the internet but what i need to do is view an internal webserver based on another pc on the network. whenever i go to the computers ip on the phone though or just use the computer name it says unable to perform action.

What can i do?

You cannot make this type of connection without 3rd party software. What is the server based on?

its been done in vb6 i believe. not sure how. its a media player that runs a web control interface that i want to use on the phone

Not entirely sure on that one then - You should simply be able to connect via the WLAN connection if the server is already set up

Might seem like a bit of an obvious one, but are you trying to connect using the internal IP or your external IP?

i actually tried both. it should work on both as the ports have been opened up to work externally

Really not sure then mate :(

The server is perfectly accessable with another PC on the network is it? I can only imagine it's a compatibility issue
