Its been down for a while, it works so far, but upon actually trying to download the update, you get an error.

To find your Nokia Firmware version, key *#0000#. The V##.#.### shown is your current Firmware! Please add these details with Nokia model to your profile. This information will help others help you. Thank you.!

hey. thanks for the thanks? lol. try this quick fix as well.
go to c:\documents and settings \ all users \ application data \ nokia \
and delete all the temporary crap outta there.

it has no harm to the program and it seems to fix it for some people as well. and if anything does screw up you can always recover from recycle bin or reinstall nsu.

I will post the code once my phone gets back online. I just put an invisible skin on it so its drying. I think you'll get this error if you put a n95-2 code on the n95-4. it seems to me that this "unavailable" message is a generic error message.

also, alex.. looks like it might be your nsu thats having problems? try uninstalling. restart. reinstall. restart plug in your phone and try again. you may need to reinstall your phone drivers too.. seems theres a bug there. make sure nss isn't running at the same time as nsu

Ill save you some time: http://www.n95users.com/forum/downlo...ion-error.html

The connection error is, in most cases showing up if there is no upgrade available

I just used 0536062 and i still get the same message " Connection Error" " Sorry but the Nokia Updater service is curently unavalable. Please disconnect your device and try again later."
And on the Other side I get " Nokia N95 8GB (RM-421) Firmware version Current :11.2.011"

I use NSS and do i only change the prod code or is there something else to check
    ?

NSU is still down according to here..

Nokia Updater Connection Error - Software Updates - Nokia Support Discussions

I think Nokia maybe on the case of people de-branding their devices....

Post from above link, but he mentions his previous posts of the same content have been deleted.
Guys ... I cant tell you how I know this ... but NSU IS working. If you read my earlier posts you will realise that I have been having trouble with my updates also. I finally managed to get it sorted out, but I cannot tell you how because evertime i try to my post gets deleted. The answer is simply that the update program is returning the wrong error message. The server is in fact up, but your phone does NOT have an approved update! If you bought your phone from supplier X who has his own product code and who requires a 'verification' of the new firmware before you can get it, then you will be getting the 'try again later' message. If you bought it from supplier Y who has 'his' own product code, and does not worry about verifying the firmware, then when you connect to NSU, you WILL prob. get an update. Please google this to find out what the heck I'm talking about :smileywink: ... it will be worth you while! :smileywink:

    Hi Aych

I'm uninstall, restart, all things, and I have the same error.

I will try again, perhaps will have better luck today

The answer to this question got to be very easy you just got to try other prod codes. I found mine by searching for RM-421 i think that was my model ( not too sure what it means)

    This helped me allot !!!!
