Be warned, there are known issues with Nokia Map Updater, where is won't find connected phone. This issue is with Version 1.07. It either crashes, or hangs when searching for updates for connected device. It may run, and appear to update phone at first, but may crash during the process. this has happened to myself, and other people too. Windows Vista, and Windows 7 this has happened on.

i had issues a first time, it would say that the map server was down or that the internet connection was bad. but after trying hours later i managed to make it work. I installed the maps on the N97 and its now running smoothly. I like it very much.

Maps Updater has been fixed in an update. Version V1.08 should be available to you when you launch the installed desktop application.
Its confirmed working very well for me now

Just got a new phone replacement, but it just will not connect! Help! Stuck on either searching for updates, or searching for phone through ovi or the maps updater

Anyone know if "Safety Spot" = Speed cameras?
Not sure what use it would be otherwise...?
