Hi,
Some keys on my keypad do not give me anymore the usual "click" when clicking on a specific key. This is the case for the keys that I use the most, eg the unlock keys.
My question: would this problem be solved by replacing the keyboard ? ... or is the problem lying underneath the keyboard?

Thanks in advance,
I'm wondering how Nokia prices are in China and what models are available(latest models).
Thanks to Micky we are all now extra cautious about fakes, but i've heard that lots of genuine products (of all types) are very cheap.

Hi Everyone, I just got an e71 and I love it. It is so much better than my old windows mobile phone in so many respects but I do have one question. I have a lot of downtimr and I like to transfer movies to my phone. When I watch videos on my phone it uses real media which looks fine but there is no fast forward or rewind option it just stars from the beginning of the file each time. Is there a better video player available for the phone I would be willing to pay a little for a good solution.

In 2000, I switched from Motorola to Nokia. Last month I got my sixth Nokia phone, the E71. I will continue to buy Nokia phones as long as the following are met. Similarly, any of the following not met will give me reason to switch.

1. The power charger must remain the same.
2. Dialing out on tether is a must!
3. VOIP (wifi and GSM/UMTS) like the E series would be necessary.
4. The screen size has to grow. The E71 is same as the E65 and my 10-year old daughter's 6120.

Nokia should abandon the PC Suite and stick to its day job of making great phones. Let others, like Microsoft, do software. Just provide the drivers (modem and mass storage). I have not touched the PC Suite for many years now. I dial out from my notebook through the E71 using standard Vista Bluetooth drivers. However, I am unable to export my SMSes which I have accumulated from the last three phones. I am waiting for the day when the SMSes can simply be dragged out in one .txt file.

Thank you.

Anyone has it? Any rants? Any tips? Any hacks?

I do have a couple of rants, lets see if someone agrees with me or if its my phone.
1)Accelerometer: Useless. It works, but its motive is useless.
2)Speaker on back: Dumb, when left on my bed, desk or anywhere, it sounds REALLY low, I need to leave it upside down.
3)I can't listen clearly to people calling me on the regular speaker (havent tried on bluetooth earpiece).

Upsides, its realllly purrty! :D
I want to add something else to it. By now I've only added games, I want apps!

I didn't get to write up a review on the Nokia E71 NAM white version yet because I keep going back to Nokia Flagship Store in New York to exchange...

I didn't get to write up a review on the Nokia E71 NAM white version yet because I keep going back to Nokia Flagship Store in New York to exchange for another phone. Today was my third trip and my THIRD phone so far. Good thing I bought it from the Nokia store so I don't have to send it to Nokia Repair Service for repair or exchange because that might take longer. I don't want to get into my experience on my N95 and Nokia Repair Service... let's just say it was very unpleasant that I don't want to deal with them anymore and that's why I bought the E71 in the store for a quick exchange/return.

So the first phone was good and I was very happy with it already until I read up in the forum that some people were having problems with dust inside the screen between the glass and the lcd. They think there's a gap inbetween the two. So, I checked mine out and found a couple of them going up to the screen. I went back to the store and did a quick exchange of the device and was happy that no other questions were asked.

That night, I reinstalled everything back to the new device and everything seemed to be ok until I started browsing using wifi and the native browser kept closing radomly. I formatted the phone and just put my contacts back and still kept doing the same thing and it got worse when it started crashing.

The next day I went back to NY again to exchange it and this time they asked more questions. One guy said maybe you need to update your firmware... hello? It just came out so there's no other firmware available for it? It's frustrating again, paying $500+ for a phone and you're not too happy with it. So after checking the phone out and convinced that there's something wrong with it, they gave me a new phone again... box sealed.

When I got home, the first thing I checked upon opening the phone is the screen if there's dust on it... and unfortunately, it has one sticking out on the lower right corner of the screen. I'm so disappointed and that's why I started to write this up instead of a review. I'm going to call tomorrow and tell them about it and hopefully I have time to go next week to exchange it.

Hopefully it'll be the last time I go back there. When I do get a new one I'll check everything out in the store first because it's so much of an inconvenience driving to NY and paying all that parking/toll fee not considering the traffic and stress you'll put yourself into.

So until next week... we'll see how it goes.

Im very close to buying the E66 with Mail for Exchange to use at work... I like the idea of mail from our exchange server being pushed to my phone while I am out and about!

The only question I have is - Does the client support Exchange over HTTP? currently to access our email from home, we setup Outlook to use Exchange over HTTP @ http://mail.ourdomain.com and I was wondering if the application also supports this?

Many thanks,
