I was just getting ready to change my vote to "vaporware"...

They are now reporting at symbian-freak that Nokia has approved the release date for the N95- today.

That means that the mobile has been delivered to Distribution and the Distribution can deliver them to dealers

It's very possible, friend. It is indeed looking good, is it not?

Are you in Germany? I can't remember... (no location in your profile :P )

I think what is being said over there is that they are at the distributors, and they are now sending them to the retailers and I imagine service providers, if they do not already have them, which it has been said that they do.

Could be very good news for us in the States... I should think the Nokia stores would be getting stock any day

just downloaded, seems like a sweet program. I don't have a nokia phone right now or a memory card with the file structure they want so i can't really do anything, but it seems like they support a lot of countries, and break canada and us into states/provinces, which presumabbl means there each highly detailed.

So by downloading these to your phone, it means you won't have to stream the map data from your service provider? So if you pre downloaded all your maps, and your not using the audio directions feature, then would you be able to use the GPS absolutely free (no data charges with service provider) because the coordinate data should be coming directly from satillites right?

For the countries listed with 0.0 mB map size, do you think that they currently don't have maps for those countries, but will have maps in the future?

I'd manage that any country with its map size as 0.0 doesn't actually have a map yet. But perhaps it has the map, but absolutely no details like streets or whatever (meaning it would just show you as a dot in relation to the country.
