G'Day guys from Australia!
I just got my N95 8gb and I'm hearing alot of commotion in regards to certificates and whatnot. Obviously all the applications from this site are legit...so is there a way just to go into the settings and tell it to not worry about certificates? I hope this question made sense (got my N95 8gb yesterday, I'm ultima noob!!!!)

Try OpenSignedOnline
Read here: http://www.n95users.com/forum/genera...html#post88568 or you can try the hack: http://www.n95users.com/forum/symbia...perm-hack.html |

From the link that I gave, you can find two ways of signing your applications..thru OpenSignedOnline(https://www.symbiansigned.com/app/pa...ignedOnline.do) you only need your IMEI no. and need not to worry about the certificate..I am not sure with the hack though, havent tried it myself because I already have may .cer file(certificate) to sign all the apps that I want.

Had no issues at all. Saying this though prior to downloading and installing I went into the settings and made software installation ---> All AND Online Certificate Check ---> Off Or is hourpower a gimmie? One of the few easy ones to install?

Signing S60 app is mandatory before you can install it to your device.
But note that applications can be developer-signed, using his developer-created certificate(the case for HourPower), so you only need to have your settings to, "software installation ---> All AND Online Certificate Check ---> Off" as you have said to install the app. |

ok what an absolute pain in the arse
I just did what you taught me about with that simbian signed website and put in my ime number thingy and waiting for the confirm email and now waiting for the email with the link in it just for a app called phonetinfo. This simply cannot be the process you need to undertake EVERY time you want a SIGNED app??? Surely??!!

Welcome to the forums Bennno, another method is the OPDA route, check link below...
http://www.n95users.com/forum/genera...t-devcert.html Looks like a minefield at first i agree, but its quite a simple process, and can recommend the VIP route.!
