Still on V11.0.026 - bad idea?

Hi all,
I'm still on my original firmware as I didn't like the changes made to the Nokia Maps application (loss of free tracking feature) in the next firmware...

Is it still chargable in the later firmwares? It's something I use quite a bit and has pretty much and wish I could update the firmware but downgrade to the older Maps version?

As far as Map goes, I do not know as I use a third party app.

In relation to upgrading the FW I would recommend it 100% for so many reasons, stability, battery life, lots of other things.

Many thanks Lord Takyon, what third party app do you use? I've got MGMaps and Nav4All.

I recommend upgrading your FW aswell. A much noticed difference from battery life and functions on the phone itself. It's also faster and only restarts if I have the phone on for 4-5 days constantly (This would be appear to be normal for any electronic device).

However you'r worried about losing the "free tracking" on your maps software, well I think upgrading and loosing that version will be the best thing you could do. The new application is much faster, gps locks quicker and if you use other software like Garmin or free software like MGMaps / Nav4all you won't notice you've lost that one feature you wanted to keep.

I can however say Garmin is superb and I use it all the time, manily when I'm drving tho. But I use nokia maps for walking from places I am not sure about.

If you want Garmin on your phone you can PM me and Ill reply with some details to where you can get the software at a discounted price. Although this depends on your location.

Hope this helps you,
