Customizing the screen

I'd like to remove contacts/maps/msn/skype and other icons from the main screen, as well as search, WLAN and calender, the guy who answered in this thread http://www.n95users.com/forum/genera...reen-help.html said it's impossible without removing everything, however when I got my phone from the retailer it was removed (except the clock, battery, signal, date), so it is quite possible. I have no idea how to do it now, since I updated the firmware but didn't backup anything yesterday <.<'

Anyway, he didn't even say how to remove everything, so could someone explain that?

I think what you're looking for is turning off the Stand By mode.
To do so go to menu > tools > settings > general > personalization > standby mode > active standby and choose off.

Just read the other thread and the Dayene is correct. You cannot remove Calendar/WLAN/search from the main screen AND have the programs along the top. You either have the full active standby ON or OFF

What the OP meant was that if you want rid off the search, WLAN and calender entries you would have to turn off Active Standby altogether as those options can't be deleted.
