Getting Videos to play on my N95...

Hi All,

I’m generally very please with my N95-8Gb supplied via O2 in the UK. One thing I’ve not been successful with is to get videos to play properly. I use Nero Recode to save video’s & DVD’s in MPEG-4 format and have tried unsuccessfully to view them on my N95. If I copy them directly across I get sound only. If I use Nokia Video Manager 1.5 I have the same problem – sound only. I am reluctant to spend lots of money to do this so the freeware route is preferred. Better still use the applications I already have.
Many thanks in anticipation of your help.

it may pay to download and install A-One 3gp converter.
Its free and does a great job.

I suggest also using SmartMovie. It is paid but comes with pretty cool converter where you can decide to what format you want to convert movie (so you can choose any MPEG-4 variation available). The biggest minus of this soft is that it is not possible to define custom resolution (320x200 is not enough if you want to play movie on TV screen)

eRightSoft Super can encode to any format you want and you have full control over the settings. it's free and easy to use, generally a low bitrate and resolution will give you good playback.. there's also a drop down to select what phone type you're encoding for.
