My n95 keeps beeping with a error

I am having the same problem with my N95, My firmware number is V30.0.018. Also when I hold the menu key, it is only the standby option which appears.
Can anyone help?

This problem was first raised in June 2008 by poster called N95 and subsequent firmware upgrades shouldn't have altered the problem happening.

Unfortunately N95 didn't post whether the post by Gordonshowers solved the problem because he has since disappeared of the planet after,7 posts,

Can only suggest that you follow his (gordonshowers) advice and disable Automatic retrieval of e-mail.

But please let us know how you get on.

Only one thing I can think of which would produce this and keep repeating and that's Mail for Exchange. When I changed my Google account password I would get that a few times a day until I realised what it was. Go into Mail for Exchange and disable it or check the settings are correct.
