    Is this Active Standby?

Today, all of a sudden, I got a standby screen showing on my wallpaper, with various icons along the top, a search, calendar, wifi and current music track (What I've found so far).

How did it get there? I certainly didn't change any settings (knowingly) to get this?

Also, I thought that is what the active standby was about? If it isn't what's the difference between this and active standby?

    Go to Tools-Settings-General-Personalisation-Standby mode-Active standby.Select off.This should remove icons.

I don't want rid of it, I like it, it's what I've been looking for, I assumed it was what others were looking for too, when talking about active standby.

I certainly didn't go anywhere near any menu's like this, however.

I turned it off, then on, and it was there.

Menu>Tools>Settings>>general>personalisation>Stand by Mode>Active standby apps. You can then choose what to have for each of the six shortcuts from there by selecting the shortcut and scrolling to what you want it to be.
This forum taught me all I know - use search and let it teach you too !
