new firmware for n95-1????

hiya just got an sms from my nokia saying that there is new firmware out for my phone but i have v21 installed , i went to update the phone to see if there was a new update but it wanted me to download a new software updater wich iam doing now has anyone else heard of a new firmware for the n95-1 ?? does it even need it?? ill report back in a min to see if the updater finds anything newer then v21

just checked it says v21 is the latest still , maybe its because i changed my product code about a month ago and installed v21 when my o2 handset was v20

iam guessing now that o2 have uped the firmware there n95-1 phones run to v21 that nokia will email/sms anyone with a o2 product code ad tell them to update there firmware from v20 it would make sense

but id allready changed my product code :-)

I had an email saying the same thing a couple of days ago. No smoke without fire maybe - new software updater needed for new firmware features perhaps?

Just got that too, checked with the newest NSU. and v21.0.0.16 is still current.

Perhaps they know that my phone was originally Voda branded and they have just released and update? God knows.

My phone was and remains '3' branded and I got the same SMS. At first I just assumed that V21 was now available for 3 but on checking V20 remains the latest version. So it remains a mystery, heres hoping though V21 wasn't enough of a reason for me to Debrand.

Unlocked and unbranded phone (was bought that way), and I too got the same message despite being up to date.

Anyone seeing a pattern here? Everyone who got this text is from the uk, except sigma whos location isnt posted...... Im from ireland and got no sms??? Anyone from outside the uk who got this sms???

I too got a text telling me there was new firmware for my device, except I have a N95-2. Went online to check if there was indeed an update, but like the rest of you, I'm up to date!
