Energy consumption

Need someone, or preferably a few someones to do a few tests.

I want to know how the N95 is at energy consumption.

I want to compare it to FP2, since FP2 is supposed to be more energy efficient.

This isnt an exact test, but should give a rough idea.

So, what Id like someone to do, is install the latest version of energy profiler, and do the following:

Have nothing going at all - no programs, no wireless scanning, no bluetooth, etc.

Let it run for a while, so the screen goes dark.

After that, send an SMS.

Then startup nokia maps. Leave it for a few mins, then close.

Let the phone go dark again.

Export as PNG and excel CSV file.

Cheers, I'll post mine up in a while.

Having looked at the graph, its a real jumble of results, times are a bit too close together imo.

Still, at its peak (assuming satnav activation) its using .729

I cant seem to get an average for when its in standby with nothing going on.

Perhaps this is why the 6220 is so crap at batterylife.

Most of it I dont understand either, but just looking at the figures your using a heck of a lot of power compared to what the 6220 is using. Which makes me even more confused as to why my batterylife seems so bad.

Did you do the things in order, SMS, nokia maps etc?

The difference is astonishing, your using over double the power!

Done all the above, but can't find them, are they in the gallery?

Ah, no thats the stupid thing.

I found mine in the phone memory in a folder called 'juice', though it might depend which memory you installed it to.

You'll need to go into settings and then choose memory card. Then once complete to go file Save, then export. Then in memory card under JUICE.

Aye did it in order. Left Maps on for about 1 minute. My battery lasts 2-3 days with normal use.

Im really really confused. The 6220 has a 900mah battery.

Whats your usage involve in those days IJM? Typically, just a rough one.
