Power off phone. Press and hold Green, * and 3 and keep them held whilst powering on and for a few seconds after, if kept pressed this formats without asking for Security Code confirmation

Yeah, you're right it won't let you install anything. I've witnessed this on a friend's N81. Hard reset *#7373# did nothing and the 3 button reset did nothing as well. I don't know how to help my friend too, so i returned his phone to him.
I think this is a serious issue.

maybe you should have tried your default folders for storing pics,videos,music and apps.After a PC Suite reinstall or upgrade,it will shift your default folders to drive C:.You have to manually change the settings in PC Suite,otherwise it will store everything on your phone memory.
