N95 Internal Memory Filling Up On Its Own? - Cant Open Anything
Hello all, i think my internal memory on my n95 is fooked...
i get: not enough memory to perform operation. delete some data first on everything, i try to open, text messages wont come through because theres not enough memory, all i can do is ring out etc.... iv tried everything, hard reset, deleting everything etc when i view file manager to see whats on the memory, its telling 147mb in use, and 0b free.. but there is nothing on the memory to make it fill up?? what gives? reckon the board is fooked in the phone or what? Can i re-flash the firmware at all? i'm not sure that will do anything though.. Thanks |

Install an all-files-hack Version of X-Plore and check the c: drive. I had this problem with my former N73, it had crashed during a handset-to-handset sync (inckuding gallery) and there were tons of huge temp files filling up c:. You can only delete stuff like that with a hacked file manager like all-files x-plore. The only other optiopn is a fw flash.
If you say hard reset, which one did you try? *#7370# ? Or 3x green right after boot? |

do you have Mobitubia installed? if you do you need to delete all the cached data in the mobitubia folder. go to your file manager and pull up this folder... Phone Memory>Video clips>mobitubia>cache... delete everything in this folder. after this you might want to change your cache drive in mobitubia to your mass memory drive!!! or you could just delete your cache often.

I suggest installing an all-files file manager like all-files X-Plore or ActiveFile with manufacturer capabilities, so if this happans again you can resolve it without hard reset. After this happened with my N73 it is the first thing i install on any Symbian phone.
Also it helps to have a Taskmanager like Epocware's, that shows you the free memory everytime you switch or kill tasks, that way you can act before nothing works anymore.

Bush and Cheney are in the oval office. The phone rings. It is one of the generals in Iraq. He tells Bush: "Two Brazilian Soldiers died here today". Bush's face takes a grim look and he replies "OK, thanks". Then he starts to cry. Cheney is really puzzled and he asks Bush: "Why do you cry over two Brazilian soldiers?"
Bush looks up to him, still crying and asks: "Dick, do you know how many thousand two Brazilian are? I forgot to ask the general." Last edited by casketizer; 07-29-2008 at 03:31 AM. |

Yes, it will do this for you. Try re-installing your current firmware, see if that helps.
