"Unable to play either sound or video clip" error in RealPlayer.
When I try to play an AVI I've converted to MP4 format, I get an error in RealPlayer:
"Unable to play either sound or video clip. Trying to play partially."
The video was a DVD that was ripped to AVI format (700+MB) and converted to MP4 (500MB). It plays fine in VLC on my PC.
Video: codec = avc1, Resolution=720x416, frame rate=25.0000
Audio: codec = mp4a, Channels=2, sample rate= 48khz, bitrate=1536kb/s
Duration: 1h, 25m, 3s
I used "PS3 Video 9" from Red Kawa to convert it using the Nokia 256kbps 4:3 Small profile.
What have I done wrong? Should I install a different video player instead of RealPlayer?

Quick response to my own post: Found something on another forum that said to not use the AVC codec (i.e. use MP4 and not MP4-avc). The default uses AVC. I'm retrying the conversion and I'll let you know.

It was the MP4-AVC codec. These settings worked:
Video: Codec=mp4v, resolution 320x184, framerate 25
Audio: Codec=mp4a, Channels=2, sample rate= 48khz, bitrate=1536kb/s
The filesize was a lot smaller as well (242Mb)/

Hey I just purchased a Nokia n95 the non 8GB version. I was thinking about updating my firmware maybe to 20.x or 21.x whats the difference or which is better, any suggestions? By updating the firmware can i start watching youtube videos on real player? Sometimes the WIFI would work and unfortunately sometimes it doesnt. I get a message " No Gateway Reply"
one more thing how do i get the GPS MAPS to work?
Thanks for all the help.
