Hi everyone,
I recently purchased and installed the new Brothers In Arms n-gage game on my N95. It had choppy sound and i discovered the only way of countering that was to install it in the phone memory. But here's the problem, with only <30mb left i'm starting to get a little bugged. Is there any tips and tricks i can use to free up some space on my N95's phone memory? Please help. P.S. i tried searching around the forums and most recommended a soft reset under these circumstances, i'd like to avoid that for now if possible.

My first tip for you Leong would be to NOT put quotation marks around the word PURCHASED. We all know what that means and you know the rules better than that.
Now thats out of the way, you could look at all of your apps and see if any that are on the phone memory would run just as well on the card, then uninstall them and then reinstall them on the card. |

dont be shocked...............
i have over 200 apps installed on my memory card. Most seem to attach something in the phone memory even though the main app is installed in the mem card. That's how i ended p with 30. Oh yea btw Brothers in Arms itself is about 35mb. so before this i actually had around 80mb left.

got any old photos or documents on your phone memory?? other than that and moving a few apps around I got nothin'
I've got a question as well, I used to always install apps to the phone memory, but I ran out pretty quick on my -1 (particularly with Ngage games).. Is it ok to install things onto the mass memory?? I could see how it might possibly decrease battery life and performance due to constantly reading from mass memory... I could also see a problem when trying use data storage or music player mode with open apps etc..

angus regarding the power issue i don't think it's gonna be a big difference, and if anything it'll probably increase the general performance of your phone memory because there's less stuff on the phone's primary memory.
TO be honest i dont have a N95-2, nor have i owned one, but from my experience with my N95-1 i'm pretty sure there's some sort of cache the music player uses, so it'll only be slow the very first time you load your music library onto mass memory. After that it should be pretty smooth.
