How to backup SMS in N95 by using NSeries PC Suite

Hello guys,

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to backup the SMS in Nokia N95 (basic version) by using Nokia NSeries PC Suite. I version of NSeries PC Suite is v1.6.77.0.

It has content copier which backup the content of the phone memory and the memory card into an internal format of nokia and there is no way to access any individual file. I generally save all of my SMS in text format.

Previously I could backup my SMS of N95 by using Nokia PC Suite (not NSeries PC Suite), but one day some of the buttons of the N95 were not working and the it was working fine after I recharged the phone. After that event, when I try to use Nokia PC Suite, I can access all data of N95 except contact list and SMS.

I'll appreciate your kind help.

Im not sure if this is how you want your messages backed up but........


I use best message storer. It allows me to seletc 1 or multiple texts inbox/sent and save them as a .txt file.

Forget about Nseries PC Suite, use the latest standard PC Suite (V.7). Connect your phone as usual and run "Reinstall PC Suite support to your phone" from the PC Suite Help tab. That should help. If it doesn't, try the NOKI application (Google).

I agree about forgetting the NSeries PC Suite, use the normal one.
NOKI will let you read the messages FROM the PC Suite backup file, but you can also simply connect your phone using PC Suite, open your message inbox (on the PC) and then just copy and paste all the messages you want into a new folder on your PC.
