Web Browser - Images..

for those who use/have used the standard browser, just wondering if anyone else noticed something weird that i just have...

anyway, until now whenever i went online on my N95 i would use wifi. as of yesterday i have started using GPRS/HSDPA as i now have a vodafone data plan.

between yesterday and today i have something change, and its not good;

any image seems a bit crappy, quite pixelated when using GPRS, where as when i am using wifi the same websites/images appear fine and clear.

strange thing is, yesterday when i was browsing via GPRS the image quality was fine.

i havent changed any settings.... was wondering what the hell is going on? its pretty **** annoying.

ok so just tried again for comparison.... this time it doesnt seem to have a difference

seems to random, almost...

could this be a memory issue by any chance?

might just be the way the images are loading but try to reload the page when it happens and see what happens.

Hi Gary,
My 95 8G is the same wifi or 3G. I'll keep my eyes open but so far no diff.
Wish I had a good guess, I can't say what it could be, other than the obvious things, same pages, same images, clear the cache first, etc?

Sounds like vodafone's image compression. You can turn it down in "my vodafone" but can't turn it off. Maybe it went super haywire for a while.

yesterday i noticed strange images on one website too. i was using WiFi and my N95 has no branded firmware.
