Im about to get an N95 8gb, a few questions..

I already have an N95-1 and tomorrow (or weds) il be getting an 8gb n95. Its on O2 and is "spiderman edition".

I just want to know when i get it, can i remove spiderman (i dont need/want it on my phone)

Ring O2 and use £20 from my O2 sim to unlock the phone so i can use it with my Orange sim?

and debrand the phone from the O2 code to a generic code like i have with my N95 orange?

Then of course, update it ok up to V30 that appears to be out for the 8gb?

O2 handsets are usually unlocked, test it first.

I can't get on to the O2 site just now but if you're referring to the copy of Spiderman on the phone then unless things have changed they no longer come with the film on. I ordered my N95 8GB from them toward the end of July and it arrived without the film. Apparently it was a limited-time scheme, though this wasn't mentioned on their website.

this is true , the Spidey 3 content was a limited run and mainly on Voda hansets (as they had it first)
There will be no sim lock on a N95 supplied with an 02 handset

Thanks for the info guys, the handset is from amazon. The seller says it was not on a contract and its advertised as spiderman 3 edition.

I bought a K800i from an O2 shop and it was locked to O2 so i assume this one will be also.

o2 handsets are never locked mate....mine have always worked on other networks.

You can remove Spidey 3 from the phone but it wont work on any other device.

I think SP3 was limited edition. I got mine and it has SP3. I no longer see that edition in the shops.
