Unable to access ANY secure sites

I have a problem whereby I cannot access any secure sites using the default browser. When trying to do so, the browser tries to make a connection and then I am greeted with the following:

Have cleared all cookies to no avail.

I am convinced this has to do with the problems I am having trying to sign into msn to using IM+. When I try and sign in it just keeps trying and trying.

I am on Tmob in the UK and have the Web and Walk Plus package which should allow for the use of IM.

I am pretty sure that if I can fix the problem above (relating to secure sites) I will fix the problem of msn connecting too.

Any ideas ... PLEASE ? :)

Edit: I should point out that through wireless it works flawlessly. It also works through opera mini without a problem.

Hmmm. In all honestly, I'd probably contact T mobile, seems they have an issue with you connecting to secure sites via their connection. Have you checked all possible settings on your phone for encryption on GPRS/ 3G etc ?

I can't find any settings that look like they may cause this problem but am open to suggestions ...

I have been on with Tmob for the last 90 mins! Very helpful and to be honest I have to agree with them that it may be a problem with the phone / browser or application (IM+) as Opera mini (the browser they bundle with their phones) lets me access the secure sites no problem.

Also, when using the phone hooked up to the laptop as a modem I can access secure sites without a problem, just not on the phone.

Odd?

Opera mini works fine. That and the default one are the only ones I have. Also the Tmob version of Opera mini they sent to me.

So that's two out of three it works ok on, just not the default one. This has to be a setting somewhere, surely? Something affecting both the in built broser and connections to MSN?

Anyone know where?

I can't see how it's linked to the IM+ problem. As the browser works independantly to the IM+ program.

I know it's drastic, but have you thought about a hard reset ?

I know ... but its all to do with security somewhere I am sure!

Yep, I have but didn't really want to go down that route. That's my last resort!

Yeah, it's almost certain, it's a setting somewhere. I am just sorry I can't come in with a short but sweet answer to it.

I've got an 95-1 with standard browser, so I can't even have a look around for you. ****.

oh, does that not have the same security settings etc?

If a hard reset does resolve it I'm all for doing it. Just don't want the hassle for no pay back!

Then again, it may be a good time to upgrade to v30 I guess.

Now your talking. By the time you contemplated it, you could have upgraded.
