Cool How robust?

Hi,

I just brought a n95 the other day. its a great phone. I am quite consious of dropping it. Is it strong at all? Would it break easily if dropped even lightly?

THanks.

Great site btw.

Depends what you dropped it on ! No seriously, it's not that robust really I've dropped mine twice on to wooden flooring fortunately it survived intact. I wouldn't like to drop it from the same height on to concrete though. I would image how it lands would be a factor too. I would always recommend getting some sort of cover/protector for it and being careful with it. TBH they are not spectacularly well built, for a top end phone they are appalling really.

my N95 survived quite a few drops and there's nothing wrong with it. either my N95 is built stronger than all others or i'm just lucky :D

i think it fell from a meter about 5-10 times since i have it, twice it fell on concrete. it has some dents, but it works perfectly :)

Am I missing something here?

The LAST thing I think of when when spending large amounts of cash on delicate instruments is "I wonder what would happen if I dropped it"

I have a crystal case on mine, and I dropped it in the road (when blackout drunk) hard enough to cause the case to come off (found it 2 days later, still in tact and usable) and the phone survived just fine, only a teeny mark on it.

i have the OEM leather case and it's great. no scratches on my phone after 1 year plus using it. the case provides sufficient protection from drops. but please do not attempt to throw it against a wall.
