2 hours of songs take about half the battery.. normal use = you have to be more specific...
Falling and breaking, mine has fallen many times and it has not broken yet. It really depends on the unit, other units could be quite fragile. Useful like an iPod? Define useful... It can do a LOT of things an iPod can't do... Microphones pick up sound well (If that is what you were asking for..

Bit difficult to know where to start. Your location, where is lolololol !!!!!!! Never heard of it.

But battery life: There are so many configurations you can apply to prolong battery life that you will only find out once you get your hands on it but then that the beauty of owning an N95.
I get a 2 days out of mine with texting & calling UK regularly. GPRS regularly. Wifi downloading and surfing internet about an hour a day on average.

Music Playback; Connected to external speakers about 2 hours a day.

Robustness: Mine fell out of my shirt pocket onto a stone floor in the airport while loading cases onto a baggage trolly with just the back cover coming of and battery falling out, put back together, no damage, working A1.

GO GET ONE You will not regret it I promise you.

You should charge the lithium ion battery in the phone every day regardless if you think it needs it or not. Allowing the battery to continually run down will shorten the run time and the life of the battery.

No. An Ipod would be a great example of old technology in a pretty new box. A N95 is more an example up to date technology in an out of date box. Since the most useful thing you can do with an Ipod is leave it on the desk as a paper weight I would have to say that an N95 is not at all useful in that way. The N95 is way to much fun and difficult to let go of long enough to make it a good paper weight.

A N95 is useful like a digital camera, PDA, Gaming console and cell phone all rolled into one. It is nothing like a touchscreen rock.

Battery life of an N95 is too short but it depend upon the usage listening to the music two hour a day drains a single bar on mine and music isnt that much fine as an ipod even N91 sounds great because it has a dedicated music chip. So i would suggest you to go for The new N96 .

Hi, I have dropped my N95-1 down a flight of mezzanine steel stairs, about 10 flights! I Say as a MUST HAVE/DO is get a soft case (ALSO MAKE SURE ITS FITS AS SNUG AS A BUG IN A RUG)!!!!! Keeps the slider tight and in a fall, thats essential. Mine gets banged against metal cages, dropped regularly as its my work phone and it still looks BNOOB when I take it out its case. Also get a screen protector! absolute fantastic device... Cannot help you with much else, I am a bit of a technophobe, except make sure the battery is a nice tight fit as well, if it is a bit of a sloppy fit, when you drop the phone the battery acts like a slide hammer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rgds;

Regarding the battery life: I get 2 days out of it,BUT!!!!...I turn it off during the night.
Regarding the sensibility: DON'T drop it.EVER.
Regarding the phone itself: -Easily one of the best phones ever made(how many phones you know of have a forum of this magnitude?!)
-WLAN scanning...VERY useful, hours of good clean fun.At least in my town...I've connected on virtually dozens of places. Can't believe there are so many unprotected wireless networks out there, hehehe.
-Dude,just get this phone, there are many-many ways of impressing your friends with it,if that's your thing.
My boss has an N95 8gb,watching him use it only for texting and making calls nearly broke my heart, and one of the reasons that motivated me into buying one as well was to show him what this phone can really do...Now my boss asks me every day if there are any new apps available.
To put it in one sentence...
This phone is like a third hand you never knew you needed. You eat with your left, write with your right, and perform small miracles with your N95.
