New user, new questions.

Hi all, just got my amazing 8gb and im loving it.

But, as in every high end phones i do have some issues which make me want to punch a baby.

My problems:


1-Ive taken like 50 photos, transfered them without any trouble to my pc. But when i try to view them on the phone's gallery, it says "no images nor videos".
Why does this happen? Does it have anything to do with massive/phone storing? Where should i store my files? Also, the pics ARE viewable but on menu/tools/file manager.

2-I HATE, that pictures are saved by some sort of albums like "012936". I assume the phone creates a new folder every day so you can save and order your pictures in it by date. Is it possible to just dump all your pics in one unique folder?

3-Whenever i browse galleries or the file administrator the phone gets really slow, it freezes. Not to mention if i delete a file, it takes up to 10-20 seconds to "unfreeze".

For starters why not rename each picture before attempting to transfer them. Will make it much easier to identify them.

N95-4 8gb v1.2.011 Either you have typed in the wrong firmware or something else is amiss seriously.

Anyway, try to update your phone's firmware to the latest one, updating firmware sorts out most of the problems almost always.

That firmware is correct for the N95-4

Its an old version. The latest version firmware for the N95-4 is V20.2.005

It came with firmware v1 when all ohter N95s have come with v10 or something?? What was Nokia thinking

Hello again, i updated my firmware to 20.2.005

Im still having a hard time with the gallery.

How do you guys manage your photos/videos?

All i want is to enter my gallery view the 2 albums ive created "Videos" and "Images" and browse them.

For some reason its not possible. As i mentioned, i created these two albums and transfered my pics and vids to them.

So, whenever i open the gallery no albums nor images show up. Everything disappears.

So, the main question is, am i doing something wrong? How do you manage the gallery?.

How are you transferring the images?

If you are using Image Store then ensure that the 'Erase images and Videos from the Phone' check box (in step 4 of Create Settings or Settings) is NOT checked.
