just sold my n95-1 on ebay

think i got a very good price for it 180 pounds plus 7 pounds postage via speacial delivery so 187 minus ebay charges and paypal charges

phone was in excellent condidtion and came with 8gb card and a cool desktop charger

overall very happy with sale and so is the buyer of the handset the sale went very smoothly :-)

tips on selling on ebay
use a plain background (clean white paper/piece of clean mdf etc/even clean laminate flooring/ people could be put off by messy pics

include some nice crisp mrco shots of all the good parts of phone like screen , fascia etc etc

list a pic of your genuine firmeware number by pressing star hash 0000 hash on main stanby screen

be honest in the listing , if it dosent look new dont say it does , if it does look new mention it and take really good pictures to back it up

clean crisp pictures sold my item within 24 hours i think they are really important on auction sites and i hate it when people just use downloaded internet pictures of items its so reasurring seeing the item there close up looking good firmware listed , menus being shown , maybe even a incoming txt alert and missed call alert to show it works i couldnt believe it i woke up in the morning and someone had snapped it up while id been in bed it was up for a 10 day auction and i expected it to run most of them 10 days

anyway the n95 has gone i hope its gone to a good home as it was a top phone if i could ahve kept it i would but 180 pounds is pretty good and i have the n96 and n82 so aim sure ill survive i will miss it though was playing with my mates yesterday that has the loose slider fix on it and its such a good phone , i still recomend them to people all the time id say the n95 was a true nokia classic infact other manufactures are only just catching up now and how long has the n95 been out now it must be 2 years by now surely??

and all the time nokia have just been rolling them out in different shapes and sizes but at the end of the day wether its a n82 , n96 , n79 , n85 , or whatever they have all got the genes off the n95

ok it took a year and a bit to get the firmeware ok but after v21 for me the phone was stunning and done evrything i wanted it to

but temptation got the better of me and i had to grab the n96 after playing with my friends i really liked it , got the perfect combo in the n82 and n96

n82 xenon for evenings out and mp3 player on the n96 is great quality i dont know why nokia dont advertise this more it rips my n82 and old n95 to pieces in the music department via car stereo or house stereo or decent headphones and with all that memory iam never stuck for a track or movie when iam bored

id recomend the n82 or the n96 or the n95 to anyone

id even kind of consider either of them a slight upgrade to the n95 or maybe a sidestep but kind of in the forwards direction lol :-)

fair play to you, nice to see theres some honest people out there like myself who sell things in the state/condition that you say it is, so as not to rip people off.

Last week i bought my 8GB off a forum member(not here) he took pics etc and was honest saying there is one or two little scratches but overall looks fine and is only 2months old...................... i believe him, he was a sound chap, and yes i agree the N95 is an awesome phone, its my first nseries and wont be my last, its amazing how they can shove all that technology into a phone.

Great tips, and well done on the sale mate. The N95-1 seem to be holding their price, and Ive noticed their price increasing if anything. I put it down to people slowly finding out its 16GB capabilities over the N95 8GB. You got as much for your N95-1 as i have seen many 8GB N95's sell for

What do you think a worthy price for a N95-2 is? Just over a month old and unlocked.

thanks mickey like i say i think its down to the pictures i used in the auction i cleaned the device with a cotton bud getting the dust out of all the corners and by the camera shutter so it looked spotless

i then used marco mode in my house under good light to avoid having to use the cameras flash and when i used a plain tidy background they looked awesome you could see everything and as it was in brilliant condition it looked really good i did post up about 10 pics which cost me about 1.20 or something but it was worth it for the quick sale

for the price of the n95-2 id check ebay and see what they are going for if its mark free with the screen protector on it iam sure you should get 225 for it give or take a few pounds , maybe start it at 230-240 and let people make offers on it as well , make sure you take a pic showing the firmware version though and other features maybe like the nokia maps laoding up or the gps screen as it helps people know its not a fake espeacially with the n95-2

it all depends what youd be happy with for it iam happy with what i got but to be honest, when the n95 sold so quick i said dam perhaps i should have added another 20 on top but if i did it might not of sold

;-)
